Youth Ministry Ideas Change

It’s been some time since my last post as I’ve been contemplating on getting YMI hosted on a different server. Today I’m starting that process and hopefully by the end of the week everything will be switched over. I may be doing some clean up work after the switch, but hey that’s life in the world of website stuff. It’s a new year and time for something new and fun to work on.

Here are some ideas that you can look forward to soon:

  1. How do you measure up to those job descriptions posted on churchstaffing.com and youthspecialties.com?
  2. Ways to build and recruit a solid staff - was sparked on by Donnie a youth pastor of 14 years. Here’s what he wrote to me: “I think my greatest struggle is really building a solid team of staff and adult leadership. Do you have any insight on specifically how you structure your staff (job descriptions) and volunteers so that you aren’t doing all the work. We have a killer youth ministry, but we are seriously outgrowing our leadership and I am on a recruiting binge and need to find ways to plug everyone in and make them feel needed.”
  3. More Games
  4. More Lessons
  5. Moving from surface level of ministry to a deeper level.
  6. National Treasure Lock-in
  7. Latest methods in evangelism
  8. Youth Rooms (styles, couch or no couch, what to put in them, ect…)

As I’m switching things over, if you have some pictures of youth ministry games or activities and you have permission to share them with me, would you please email them to me? I would like to use them for a new background header to the site.
