Spiritual Scrapbooking

A friend and staff person while talking over the phone said how he thought it would be cool to consider having students do a spiritual scrapbook. This scrapbook can be something that students look at to remember what God has been doing in their lives.

In Joshua 4, after God performed the miracle of drying up the Jordan river so that the Israelites could cross into the promised land, God told Joshua to choose 12 Israelites to build a memorial out of 12 stones as a visual reminder of what God had done for them.

It may be more of a hit with the girls in your group, but you may be surprised at the boys that would like to do it too. Don’t just limit to paper scrapbooking, you could do a blog for example.

I suggest that you start with a pile of pictures and then include things like, birth, first time went to church, first memory of church, salvation, drama team, choir, worship band, bible camps, church youth events that they go to. Give it a shot, it could be awesome!
